Power Supply

The Ranger can operate on external power sources such as vehicle\'s or stationary power grid (the device is equipped with a special output for that) or independently on AA batteries/accumulators.

IR Illuminator

The Ranger is equipped with two independent built-in IR illuminators. One of them functions continuously and is designed for observation under ideal night viewing conditions of a 1/4 moon. The other high-powered IR illuminator is intended for observation of distant objects under low light conditions, including total darkness. The IR power of the latter can be smoothly adjusted and the IR light intensity level can be stored.

The Boresighted Night Sight (BNS-P+) PINNACLE®

The Boresighted Night Sight (BNS-P+) PINNACLE® may be the most reliable and easiest to use night vision weaponsighting system ever fielded. Like the PVS-22 Universal Night Sight, the BNS P+ PINNACLE® also incorporates gain control, which allows the user to lower the tube brightness (gain) to compensate for overly bright conditions or to increase the gain under extreme dark conditions.

The BNS P+ PINNACLE® is a unique night vision system that is small enough to mount in front of any boresighted daytime scope. Scope magnification can range from one to twelve power. The BNS P+ PINNACLE® does not require any boresighting and once mounted the daysight provides the aiming point. The BNS maintains boresight despite normal misalignments due to mount position errors and does not alter the sighting centerline (parallax is unchanged from dayscope). The BNS P+ PINNACLE® also contains no beam splitter or folded optics to go out of alignment.

The BNS P+ PINNACLE® is revolutionary when used with a high magnification fixed or variable power dayscope. The magnification is provided by the dayscope, which typically has much smaller optics than those associated with normal 4X or 6X night vision weaponsights. This means there is no loss in system gain or typical f/number loss associated with large optics. Variable magnification dayscopes can actually zoom in (up to 12X) and still retain the same gain (image brightness) with only a slight loss in resolution.

The BNS P+ PINNACLE® is lightweight, rugged and adaptable to almost any weapon which will accept a MIL- STD-1913 (Picatinny) rail and has shown the ability to withstand the recoil of 5.56 (223) & 7.62 (308) rifles. It has a very fast f/1.12 catadioptic lens and a 40mm output window (eyepiece).

ATN PS22-2 Night Vision Monocular/Attachment for daytime riflesc

System Description: The PS-22 is attachment for daytime riflescopes with 1x-6x (2.5x-4x are optimal) magnification that converting scope into a high quality, very accurate Night Vision weapon sight. The PS-22 mounts in front of daytime scope. Re-zeroing of scope not required. PS-22 comes standard with 7/8 weaver mount. There is also Adapter for ARMS quick release mount. Optional Ring Adapters allows to mount unit onto the objective of the day scope (25...58mm diameter). The IR illuminator can be mounted onto the optional Picatinny Rail. The PS-22-2 utilizes a 2nd Gen.+ Image Intensifier Tube. This ingenious setup allows the shooter to go from day to night in less then 30 seconds without tools, without changes in eye relief and remain zeroed all around the clock. The PS-22 is a complex optical-electronic system. The device contains an image intensifier tube assembly with an integrated high voltage power source and the three volt battery housing. PS22 system is one of the most compact and light weight units in its class, only 640 grams. It also can be used as a hand held night vision monocular.

Yukon Optics NVMT 2x24 Gen. 2+ Night Vision Monocular. The NVMT 2x24 Gen 2+ may look like the NVMT 2x24 Gen 1, but that is where the similarities end. The NVMT 2x24’s premium Gen 2+ image intensifier tube makes all the difference, resulting in a higher performance.

All image intensifier tubes work by using a photocathode to transform the gathered light into electrons, which then pass through the tube and bombard a Phosphor screen to produce the green illumination of an image.
The difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2+ is that the Gen 2+ uses a tiny glass disc that has millions of microscopic holes in it with metal electrodes, known as a Microchannel Plate (MCP). This MCP is placed before the Phosphor screen and acts as an electron multiplier, which increases light sensitivity. Since the MCP actually increases the number of electrons instead of just accelerating the original ones, the images are significantly less distorted and brighter than Gen 1 night vision devices.

Generation 2+ night vision units have shown major improvements in image resolution and general performance and are considerably more reliable. The biggest gain in Generation 2 is the ability to see in extremely low light conditions, such as a moonless night, without the use of an infrared (IR) illuminator.

The PULSE IR System provides the highest level of infrared illumination without significant battery drainage. The NVRS 2.5x50 provides comfortable viewing with a 15 degree field of view. The unit's 50mm objective lens is one of the largest objective lens in use and provides outstanding light-gathering capabilities.
The NVRS 2.5x50 multicoated optics provide a high degree of light transmission, which is enhanced by Yukon's Quality Certified Gen 1 tubes. Gen 1 intensifier tubes work by using a photocathode to transform the gathered light into electrons, which then pass through the image tube and bombard a Phosphor screen to produce the green illumination of an image. All image intensifier tubes are extremely light sensitive and can be destroyed by bright lights; however the NVRS remedies this problem by including a hinged lens cap cover with a pinhole in it. The pinhole allows the NVRS user to sight in the unit during the day, without burning up the image tube. It can then be fine tuned at night.

The Gen 1 image tube works well with moonlight and starlight, but Yukon's exclusive built-in PULSE Infrared (IR) Illuminator with a range of 100 m extends the NVRS; viewing range. The PULSE system utilizes quick infrared energy bursts that pierce the darkness further to increase distance, visibility and image quality. The PULSE IR System provides the highest level of infrared illumination without significant battery drainage. The same "pulsing" frequency that is invisible to human eyes infiltrates longer distances due to the Infrared Illuminator’s quick energy bursts.

The unit is powered by two AA batteries and is turned on by a flip of a switch. The unit can also be turned on by using the NVRS's wireless remote on-off switch, which can be easily placed on your rifle or any other place nearby for easy access. This makes it possible to activate the scope without removing your hands from the rifle. Even the rubber eye shade has been well thought out. Its oblique shape provides comfortable viewing and it provides an excellent shield – it keeps the night vision unit's green glow hidden from animals and observers. The 45 mm eye relief provides protection during a rifle's recoil and even more comfort for those that wear eye glasses.

The NVRS Titanium 2.5x50 riflescope is designed with ruggedness, durability and the user's ease in mind. Its ergonomically-designed body is a hunter's best friend. All switches are designed to be easily used while wearing gloves and to reduce hand cramps. The unit is mounted to a rifle's Weaver base by a Weaver mount and comes with a quick release mount for easy release. The NVRS 2.5x50 comes with an "on-rifle's carrying case, so don't worry about removing the unit at the end of a day of hunting; the carrying case fits around the unit as it stays attached to the rifle.

Night vision riflescopes need to be adaptable, so by adding various accessories, the NVRS 2.5x50 is transformed to adapt to any situation. Magnify surrounding sounds with the Directional Sound Amplification System (DSAS). Double magnification with the new NVRS 50 mm doubler lens, and add the IR Flashlight for extra light. The IR flashlight is equipped with a honeycomb filter to provide illumination without detection. For more versatility, use the weaver base/side mount adapter to simplify dual applications when using an AK/SVD rifle. And for even greater versatility, the NVRS includes a weaver plank for an easy addition of the Yukon digital camera adapter (SKU # 29023) to convert your riflescope to a high-end night vision camera unit. The retical can be turned off to provide a clear field of vision during your photo shoots.

All Yukon Advanced Optics’ products, including the NVRS line, are warranted free of defects in materials and workmanship for four years after the date of purchase, if the unit is registered within 30 days of purchase on Yukon Advanced Optics Web site. In the event of a defect under this warranty, we will, at our option, repair or replace the product, provided you return the product.
